Saturday

Saturday was a car show here in Wayland, which I took my camera to with a new 32GB memory card and my 50mm Sigma Macro lens. What I did not take with me was a fully charged battery. Poor planning on my part, but I did take a few shots while there. Here are a few shots of my favorite unique features noted at the show. The Morris car was fairly small, and when my mom looked inside she said "It's bigger on the inside." which was innocent enough, except my boys and I have been watching a Dr. Who (BBC TV Series) marathon...

Oops!

I missed a week. Completely forgot to write a post last Saturday. Nearly forgot today too. It's been a quiet couple of weeks, with nothing much going on at all. The temperature here in southwest Michigan is finally getting back to normal temperatures, and yesterday we had our first bit of rain in over a month.

Today I had planned to go to the Kalamazoo Blues Festival, but decided not to due to the heat, long drive, and lack of air conditioning in my car. Instead I went to the knitting group that meets once a month at my local library, for lunch at my favorite coffee shop (Daily Brews in Wayland, MI) and then home for more knitting and TV time. Perhaps tomorrow I will go out somewhere with my camera, but for now here's a couple iPhone shots from the last couple of weeks....

Our recent high temp, breaking a record set in 1921!

Yesterday's rainfall, overflowing my gutters on my back deck.
