Not-so-senior pictures

My week has been taken over by a hospital. My 17 year old son had 2 migraines that were severe, very close together, and sudden. (no migraine history for him)

A doctor's appointment turned into a CT scan (which we planned to demand & didn't have to), followed by a trip to the ER and brain surgery the following morning. He had a clot in his brain from several separate instances of bleeding, over the course of a year. He had taken Tylenol 2-3 times a week for headaches, but that really hadn't registered with us until after the surgery!

Thank heaven the migraines were close enough together to trigger the doctors appointment and all that followed. His doctor saved his life and I am eternally grateful. Here are a few iPhone pictures from the last few days:

S. Figger

I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with my cousin at Frederik Meijer Gardens to create her Senior portraits. She is such a bundle of energy, and so much fun to work with! Here are a few of my favorites (I had a very hard time choosing!)

World Wide Photo Walk

Scott Kelby's World Wide Photo Walk took place on October 1 & 2 this year, and this year I was able to participate on the 2nd. My sons and I joined the Grand Haven, MI photo walk, led by local photographer Jack Adams. Thank you, Jack, for volunteering to lead this walk. We had a good time and we are looking forward to next year's walk!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day (but none are the one submitted for the contest):
The boat tie-offs looked like little men saying "Don't Shoot!"
